“Along with dreams, gardening is my other greatest source of inspiration. I think of my garden as my outdoor studio. Watching seeds sprout and grow is just as magical as experiencing an idea transform into a painting. The garden supplies endless opportunities to study color, light and form. I am fascinated with studying plants, not just their shapes and color but also their cells and physiology. It is wonderful to be surrounded by this endless drama of birds, sex, death, and rebirth. Gardening connects me to the earth and accentuates the connectedness of life.”
