Leslie Sills, artist, author, and art educator, explores the lives of women and girls in her whimsical ceramic sculptures. Themes of motherhood and childhood are lovingly rendered in bright colors and patterns that add to the charming appeal of Sills’ work. Sills is also the author of several award winning art books such as From Rags to Riches: A History of Girls’ Clothing in America, In Real Life: Six Women Photographers Visions: Stories About Women Artists, and Inspirations: Stories About Women Artists.
